GLYCOLON®

After implantation, GLYCOLON® retains approximately 30% of its initial tensile strength after 7 days.

Tissue reactions are minimized both by the biocompatibility of the degradation by-products and by the smooth, monofilament surface structure of the fiber.

Thanks to its smooth, monofilament surface, GLYCOLON® offers excellent handling and gliding properties. Tissue trauma during suture passage is negligible, and the monofilament design prevents any capillary action without requiring additional surface treatment.

GLYCOLON® is available in an undyed version—particularly suitable for skin closure—and in violet, colored with physiologically harmless dye D+C No. 2.
